A sorry state of affairs
Cal Raleigh didn't have anything to apologize for. The fact he did should be deeply embarrassing for the franchise he plays for.
As far as apologies go, what Cal Raleigh offered Sunday was pretty meager.
That’s a good thing, though. He didn’t have anything to apologize for. I don’t believe the same can’t be said for his employer, however, and “sorry” is about the best adjective for the whole situation as the Mariners catcher felt compelled to address the media before Sunday’s regular-season finale and say he picked the wrong time to say what he did.
