I kinda hate myself for saying this ...
but I don't expect much from Bobby Wagner's return. In fact, I think it's another example of the Seahawks tendency to hold onto their stars for too long.
It feels good that Bobby Wagner re-signed with Seattle, which is why I feel bad that I don’t think it’s going to end up meaning all that much on the football end of things.
It’s probably why I’ve spent the last three days trying to talk myself out of writing this because I don’t like being the one who’s finding the flaw with the thing that everyone else likes. I also don’t like being the guy who looks at the past 10 years and believes that – if anything – Seattle has held onto its great players too long, but I think that’s true, too.
So I just want you to know – before this gets going – that I’m not enjoying saying any of this and I actually hope I’m wrong. I just don’t think I am.
