My viral moment
I was just Tweeting along, innocently trying to rip on the Oregon Ducks, when I became a magnet for all the people who are really, really mad at Deion Sanders
One of my Tweets went viral on Saturday. It feels weird to say that. Like I’m bragging or something, and I suppose there’s some small part of me that feels satisfaction that my words got circulated. After all, I don’t write things hoping people WON’T read them.
But I don’t mistake a Tweet that is widely circulated as being anything more than that. It doesn’t produce more subscriptions for this newsletter. It doesn’t even really result in more people following me on the platform formerly known as Twitter, and even if it did, that isn’t something that I find to be important or fulfilling.
I was just trying to rip on Oregon, and the fact that my Tweet was allegedly viewed by 2.8 million other entities on that god-forsaken hellsite really just shows that my words touched the hottest spot in the online dialogue about college football. Specifically: Deion Sanders.
