Not everyone loves LIV Golf
The pros love the prize money, Saudi Arabia loves the opportunity to showcase itself as a business opportunity and the PGA Tour is totally torqued off.
If golf is a good walk spoiled, as Mark Twain once said, that I’m not sure what you’d call golf coverage. Is it a column befouled?
I kid, I kid.
I spent a fair amount of time this past week reading about and then watching the inaugural event of LIV Golf, a new super league of sorts with implications on professional golf and geo-political business investment. Oh yeah, it’s also an incredibly interesting broadcast product that is currently being shown on YouTube.
I’m going to tackle all three of those things in inverse order of actual importance, starting with the least significant big-picture issues.
