Sports Illustrated's Greg Bishop joins "The Dang Apostrophe" to help analyze a 500-word, all-caps, single-spaced entreaty on behalf of the Arizona quarterback.

Once upon a time, I helped Greg Bishop build the sign he used to propose to his then-girlfriend/now-spouse. I’m sure he won’t mind me saying that the format for his marriage proposal was “inspired” by a prom request from an MTV show, which I think was “Laguna Beach” but may have been “The Hills.”

In unrelated news, Greg also lost a bet regarding the outcome of a Washington-Syracuse season-opening football game (Jake Locker’s Husky debut) and had to jog around a Seattle city block wearing a pair of pink Polo pants I owned (don’t ask).

All of this background information is utterly unnecessary for our Tuesday conversation about quarterbacks.

On the final day of Danny O'Neil's freshman year in high school, his height was recorded as 4 feet, 11 and one-half inches by the mean woman in charge of his P.E. class. He has never gotten over it. Well, that and a whole bunch of other things he rants about on a regular basis. So why don't you make like the apostrophe in his last name, and come hang out.
