The problem with positive thinking?
Russell Wilson wasn't the first Seahawk to challenge the bosses. He's just the first one who thought ownership might choose to keep him over the coach and GM.
The first hint was Kam Chancellor’s contract holdout in 2015. Then came Richard Sherman flipping out over a pass that was thrown from the 1-yard line and a few years later you had Earl Thomas flipping the bird as he left a game.
So maybe it was just a matter of time before one of Pete Carroll’s players decided to come at the king. After all, Russell Wilson is hardly the first Seahawks player to challenge the authority of his bosses in Seattle. He’s just the first one with the hubris to think that the team’s ownership might choose to keep him over the coach and general manager.
