Where's the beef?
Thursday's game showed pretty clearly what Seattle needs if it's going to close the gap that exists between this Seahawks team and the 49ers.
The Seahawks didn’t lose Thursday’s game because of what happened at the end of the second quarter.
Sure, the 1-minute stretch in which Quandre Diggs dropped a sure interception and Travis Homer lost a fumble cost Seattle its best — and perhaps only — shot of winning, but this was a game that showed the gap that exists between the Seahawks and the 49ers. And while the loss doesn’t end Seattle’s playoff hopes, it does make a very clear statement about where this team stands going forward.
