Danny, thanks for sharing these with us. I used the read the PI/Times along time ago, and your writing brings me back to those feelings and I appreciate it. I'm looking forward to this journey you got us on. As far as radio is concerned, I loved listening to you no matter who you were paired with, and my favorite part about you was your willingness to get into uncomfortable conversations, make mistakes, laugh (or cackle), and ask tough questions. Miss you bro.
Tami, thanks so much for reading. I'm not sure where the newsletter is heading, and I'm hopeful to use it to try out some stuff to see if I like doing it and then if there is anyone interested in publishing it, but it's also a way to stay connected to people who've come to mean an awful lot to me!
Thanks, Drew. I worked very hard to improve as a broadcaster, to understand how to do "good radio" whatever that might mean. I discovered that the best way to improve was to learn what not to do, and stop doing that. The rest is just effort and hope.
But radio was also something I kind of stumbled into, and I always joked that if/when I stopped, I would feel more amazed that it lasted as long as it did than I would be angry or frustrated it was over. That has definitely been the case. I'm really grateful for everything that happened at 710 ESPN Seattle, each opportunity, and I will miss being on the air. I'm also very excited to see what I can accomplish as a writer as I shift away from full-time broadcast work.
Thanks for reading, and I'm glad to have you aboard!
Great work Danny! I’m curious why Norton didn’t receive more percentage points? I thought he called a pretty good game defensively. Not a hill I’m willing to die on but was curious your thoughts on Norton. Again Danny, great stuff

Danny, I've missed you on air but this has been a good way to still hear from you. Really love your writing, please keep it up!
Write on Danny!
Thanks Danny! Loved every word. I am more of a reader than listener (i.e. pods) so very happy you have chosen to share a newsletter with us!!!

So well written, DO. I still think writing is where you do your best work. And no, that's not a backhanded compliment.

Great to read this writeup. It is excellent. Missing you on the air, but I'll check out the show with Mitch. Look forward to next week's article.
